She sings my last haiku
and shed tears on my pyre
a three line requiem.

  1. Although this is sad, the idea of having someone read my poems at my funeral is somehow appealing! And the classical poets of Japan wrote their ‘death poem’ for exactly that purpose! 🙂

    • Oh, I so agree with Wabi Sabi! I would LOVE to have someone read my poems at my funeral. (Of course, I’m hoping that event will be in the far distant future!)
